About George
George Augustine Koromia, MD MMCi is an Adult Cardiologist with a focus on integrating Multimodality Advanced Cardiac Imaging and Clinical Informatics to allow for personalized and precise cardiovascular care. With extensive experience in Healthcare Management and Clinical Informatics, he will be leading Medical Informatics at the Firelands Regional Medical Center in Sandusky, OH. He completed a Level III fellowship in Advanced Cardiovascular Imaging (CT & MRI) at the University of Kentucky Gill Heart and Vascular Institute, and his Cardiology fellowship at the Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine.
He was previously a Chief Resident in Internal Medicine at Marshall University & the Hershel "Woody" Williams VA Medical Center where he developed an end-to-end Internal Medicine academic curriculum for the residency program. He completed his Internal Medicine training at the East Carolina University Brody School of Medicine. In a prior life, he was a Consultant at Lantana Consulting Group specializing in Clinical Informatics, Interoperability, Healthcare Management and Health Policy. He completed his graduate education in Management & Clinical Informatics at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business where he was a Fuqua Scholar.
Finding interest at the interface of technology and medicine he is invested in the science of Innovation, the future of Technology and the management of Healthcare.
